Clay Flute Statues For the first time ever these rare, "museum quality", one-of-a-kind indigenous flutes are available to the public. The authentic originals were only statues. Xavier is possibly the only one in the world who makes these ancient replicas into flutes. The sound they make is very haunting. The tones carry you to a different place as if you are in the hallways or corridors of the ancient Aztec and Mayan pyramids. Now being recognized as a master flute maker and an authority in the construction of these museum quality pieces, Xavier wishes to express credit to two individuals whose teachings helped evolve this gift of beautiful creations. Many thanks to the great stone sculptor Carlos Venegas, and master woodcarver Augustin Rodiles for their expertise and valuable techniques. Each clay flute is skillfully crafted by Xavier, then placed in a kiln and fired. His style of finishing makes them look as if they were excavated from the earth and centuries old.
